Bear-Varian Fall Festival at Anakeesta
August 28 - November 1, 2026
Fall takes over the mountaintop at Anakeesta with pumpkins, scarecrows, seasonal displays, live music, Bavarian-inspired flavors, and incredible views of the changing Smoky Mountains.
Be sure to make time for the AnaVista Observation Tower and Treetop Skywalk while you're there - the fall scenery is part of the experience.
Dollywood Harvest Festival
September 14 - October 31, 2026
Dollywood celebrates the season with fall décor, seasonal flavors, live music, and plenty of daytime fun throughout the park.
Stay after dark for Great Pumpkin LumiNights, when thousands of glowing pumpkins and larger-than-life displays transform the park into a completely different experience.
Autumn at The Island
September 22 - October 31, 2026
The Island gets a fall makeover with seasonal decorations, photo spots, autumn treats, and special flavors throughout its shops and restaurants.
It's an easy one to work into your plans since you can stop by for an hour or make an entire afternoon or evening of it. And with the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel and fountain in the middle of it all, there's plenty to enjoy beyond the fall displays.
Kyker Farms Corn Maze

For a more traditional fall day, head to Kyker Farms in Sevierville.
This working Tennessee Century Farm offers four corn mazes, hayrides, a pumpkin patch, slides, a corn tub, swings, an educational barn, a bouncing pillow, zip line, bonfire sites, and more.
It's the kind of place where you can easily spend a few hours enjoying fall without ever feeling like you're following an itinerary.
Oktoberfest at Ober Mountain
October 1 - November 1, 2026
Ober Mountain brings a little taste of Bavaria to Gatlinburg during its annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Expect Bavarian-inspired food, seasonal drinks, live entertainment, and Oktoberfest traditions - all with the Smoky Mountains as the backdrop.
The ride up the mountain and fall views make this one especially fun when the colors begin to peak.
Apple Festival at The Apple Barn
October 2-4 & October 9-11, 2026
It's hard to imagine fall in Sevierville without apples, and The Apple Barn is one of the area's most iconic places to enjoy them.
The Apple Festival adds live entertainment, demonstrations, and plenty of apple-inspired fall fun to an already favorite Smoky Mountain stop.
And really, do you need much convincing to add apple fritters, cider, or something warm from the bakery to a fall day?
Wears Valley Fall Fest
October 16-18, 2026
Surrounded by mountain scenery, Wears Valley Fall Fest brings together more than 240 artisan crafters along with live music, children's activities, food trucks, and seasonal treats.
The setting is part of what makes this festival special. Wears Valley is beautiful any time of year, but during October color, it's hard to beat.
Gatlinburg Harvest Festival
Mid-September through late November
You don't need to plan your day around a single event to enjoy fall in Gatlinburg.
During the Gatlinburg Harvest Festival, downtown fills with elaborate seasonal displays and life-size scarecrows. Take your time wandering through town, see how many displays you can find, and enjoy the fall atmosphere along the way.
